I joined this learning community because my beloved middle school teacher, Mx. Cone, believed in me. They said I would be valued here, able to go deep into topics that interest me, and that this school would help me become a leader and a good friend at the same time. As a first-generation college aspirant whose parents immigrated to the US, I bring a rich cultural perspective and I'm determined to honor my heritage while pursuing my dreams. This community already feels like the second home Mx. Cone promised.
